About Inspiring Elementary Engineering- STEM

Manatee County's Elementary Schools IE2 STEM labs will offer students an opportunity to deepen their science, technology, engineering and math skills by applying that content into real world, hand on scenarios. For grades k-5 the lab places strong emphasis on themes that focus on the investigation of the nature of science, Physical science, Earth and Life science concepts. Math investigation will focus on number sense, measurement/data, and geometry concepts.

 

   Due to the limited number of opportunities we see each class, the purpose and intent of the IE2 lab is to support, reinforce, and enhance the classroom teacher's currucuim by having their students participate in varius problem solving STEM challenges not always offered in a classroom setting.
