STEM-ing into a new year

We've made it past our first week back to school. YAY!! The students have been learning all about STEM. What it stands for and how it relates to their life. Their first STEM challenge was to create a model of one of our classroom rules using the materials given. The toughest part was working as a team to create ONE model. Every class was really excited and ready for upcoming challenges. The students really enjoyed it and couldn't wait to come back. I could hear most classes saying..." What are we going to create next week, Mrs. Owens?" :)
